The Kerala HC has allowed a petition seeking retest of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for medical admissions, citing reason that the answer sheet of the Student in question got rejected owing to the dereliction of duty by the Invigilator. The petitioner had moved the Court, claiming that the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2021 was conducted in an unfair manner at her examination centre, Sree Narayana Public School, Poothotta. The petitioner alleged that the manner in which the invigilator behaved cost her and the other applicants in her testing session half an hour of their time to complete the test, which was scheduled to last three hours. Due to the obvious intense competition involved in the exam, it was claimed that the uncertainty produced at the testing centre harmed the student's chances of being admitted to medical school. The court has sought explanation from the National Testing Agency (NTA).
