Mubadala Investment Company, an Emirati-based sovereign investor, has launched a pilot program in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA). The initiative aims to raise community awareness and knowledge about child development for the mental and physical well-being of the federation’s children and parents. It is also an important component of the Abu Dhabi Integrated Early Childhood Intervention System Framework.
Despite economic and social factors like gender, income, region, etc., the program's main objective is to meet the needs and rights of children. To complement good outcomes for the kids and help them get the best results possible, it also aims to educate parents about significant developmental milestones. Additionally, it will make use of the National Vacation Schedule to track developmental progress according to age and to motivate parents to seek early intervention and advice in any situation.
The initiative, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre, a partner of the Mubadala Group, will also launch a 'Child Helpline’, which will provide parents and caregivers with immediate support and information resources ranging from tips on how to play with infants to trained medical professionals who will aid and assist parents with medical interventions as deemed best. It’s an immediate support service for any intervention to resolve any complication.
The initiative seeks to improve Emirati society's understanding about the major developmental stages as well as its knowledge and confidence concerning child growth and development, to promote and improve childcare like never before.
