New 50 Dirham Banknote Launched in UAE

The new 50 Dirham banknote was launched as a part of the UAE’s 50^th National Day.

The Dh50 banknote features the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Zayed along with the founding fathers of the UAE. Several monuments of national and historic importance is also featured on the banknote.

According to the Emirates new agency, WAM, the Central Bank said that the notes have various security features as well.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, the Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai launched the new note along with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The launch ceremony was also witnessed by the other UAE Rulers and Crown Princes as well.
