Abu Dhabi seems to be easing part of its quarantine policy for allowing home quarantine without wrist bands. For overseas travellers and anyone in touch with positive cases, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee for the COVID-19 Pandemic has allowed home quarantine without the use of wristbands, effective from Sunday, September 19, 2021. Positive cases, on the other hand, must still wear a wristband. The committee has recommended continuous adherence to tight home quarantine procedures and mandatory testing schedules based on personal responsibility, as well as healthcare system monitoring to guarantee compliance with preventative measures. However, people are urged to follow quarantine guidelines and not slack away from it. Strict sanctions still continue to apply for violating existing restrictions.
