The UAE government has announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for both public and private sector employees.
Federal government workers will enjoy a nine-day break starting from Monday, April 8, until Sunday, April 14. Regular working hours will resume on Monday, April 15.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has declared Eid Al Fitr holidays for private sector employees from the 29th day of Ramadan (April 8) until Shawwal 3. This means private establishments will be closed from April 8 until April 11 or April 12, depending on the crescent moon sighting.
If Ramadan extends to 30 days, the Eid break will span from April 8 to April 12, including weekend days. If Ramadan lasts for 29 days, the break will be from April 8 to April 11, also encompassing the weekend.
Residents across the country are eagerly anticipating the festivities as preparations begin for the longest public holiday of the year.
