UAE: Covid Cases Drop Below 100

The United Arab Emirates reported less than 100 coronavirus cases on Sunday for the first time since March 2020.

“This month the coronavirus is under control and less dangerous than before” said Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The United Arab Emirates registered 99 new cases, down nearly 95% since August. The diminishing daily infection rate, combined with one of the fastest vaccination programs, has helped brighten the country’s credentials as a post-Covid refuge.

The country has been hosting an array of events over the next few months as the travel restrictions to key markets, including the U.S., Britain, Saudi Arabia and India.

The Dubai Expo 2020, the biggest, is already underway in Dubai including the Cricket World Cup which began on Sunday. Although through which the country’s economy can boost up from the Covid hammered economy. The Expo is more likely to boost tourism and analysts say they could encourage high-net worth individuals to either move to the country or establish a second base.
