This move follows a recent state visit by Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, who met with UAE leaders earlier this week.
The UAE Government has made a significant decision to waive all traffic violations for Omani citizens within the country recorded between 2018 and 2023, as reported by WAM. This move follows a recent state visit by Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, who met with UAE leaders earlier this week.
"The strategic and economic partnership between the UAE and Oman grows ever stronger and we will continue to explore new collaboration opportunities that support our people’s shared aspirations for a stable and prosperous future," the UAE President said.
In addition to the exemption of traffic fines, a range of new collaborative projects between the UAE and Oman were revealed, underscoring the enduring ties between the two nations. Notably, investment partnerships totalling Dh129 billion were announced.
Furthermore, the eagerly awaited UAE-Oman railway project was introduced under the brand name Hafeet Rail, signalling its transition into the implementation stage.
