Union Urges Amazon Boycott, Presses Government to Cut Ties

A major labour union is calling for a nationwide boycott of Amazon, urging federal and Quebec officials to sever ties with the e-commerce giant over what it describes as “blatant union-busting.” The union alleges that Amazon’s actions violate multiple sections of the labour code and represent an attempt to intimidate workers across the country.

The call to action follows reports of Amazon allegedly targeting pro-union employees and creating a hostile work environment for those advocating for better wages and conditions. Union representatives say the company’s practices undermine workers' rights and set a dangerous precedent for labour relations in Canada.

Government officials have yet to respond to the union’s demands, but the push for stricter oversight and accountability continues to gain traction.
