Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Launches World’s First AI-Powered Judicial Platform

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) is set to implement the world’s first integrated AI Judicial Platform, a groundbreaking initiative designed to enhance judicial decision-making, streamline court procedures and accelerate digital transformation within the justice system.

Developed in collaboration with the Department of Government Enablement, the platform project was discussed during coordination meetings of the joint steering committee chaired by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the ADJD.

The committee reviewed the proposed implementation roadmap for deploying the comprehensive AI platform across the entire judicial workflow. The first phase is scheduled to begin in September, followed by a phased rollout over an 18-month period.

Counsellor Al Abri said the AI Judicial Platform will introduce a new generation of smart judicial solutions, providing advanced capabilities to modernise court operations, improve efficiency and simplify legal procedures.

He added that the initiative reflects the vision of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to promote innovation, embrace emerging technologies and enhance the quality of government services.

The project also supports the directives of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the ADJD, to strengthen the judicial system in line with global best practices and accelerate the adoption of smart justice solutions.

By integrating artificial intelligence into different stages of litigation, the platform aims to assist judicial professionals in managing cases more efficiently, improve the accuracy and quality of legal processes, and enable faster case resolution while maintaining full human supervision and validation.

The initiative marks a significant step in Abu Dhabi’s efforts to build a future-ready justice system driven by technology, innovation and international standards of efficiency and reliability.
