The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Court has dismissed a compensation claim filed by a woman in her thirties against a hospital and a cosmetic surgeon. The woman sought Dh51,000 in compensation, alleging that a medical error during a cosmetic procedure at the facility caused her harm. She had requested both parties be held jointly responsible for the alleged damages.

The 36-year-old plaintiff stated that after her initial cosmetic surgery, complications arose, requiring a second operation. Her condition subsequently stabilised, and her wounds healed over time. However, she expressed dissatisfaction with the final aesthetic results.

In its ruling, the court cited a report from the Medical Liability Committee, which reviewed the case and found no evidence of a medical error. The court affirmed its confidence in the committee's findings, which cleared both the hospital and the surgeon of any wrongdoing. The court also noted that the plaintiff had not challenged the report, reinforcing its decision.

As a result, the court concluded that the claim lacked merit, dismissed the case and ordered the plaintiff to pay all associated fees and expenses.
