The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has approved and sworn in a new batch of government notaries from Abu Dhabi Police, reinforcing efforts to enhance institutional efficiency and streamline business procedures.

Five government notaries took the oath of office before Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, formally commencing their duties as authorised government notaries.

Al Abri said the appointment of national cadres as government notaries reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of ADJD. The initiative aims to bring services closer to the public, accelerate procedural efficiency and ensure the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

He added that ADJD continues to develop the government notary system as a key pillar in safeguarding rights, ensuring the integrity of transactions and fostering a competitive and attractive business environment. This is supported through the qualification of Emirati talent, the adoption of international best practices and the use of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to simplify procedures and improve service delivery.

The newly appointed notaries completed an intensive training programme at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, covering relevant laws and regulations, along with practical training on modern electronic systems that enable remote and fully digital transaction processing, in line with Abu Dhabi’s smart government strategy.

The government notary system allows authorised employees to authenticate official documents within their workplaces, saving time and effort while ensuring procedural accuracy, upholding the rule of law and protecting rights.
