Court Jails Two Men for Pharmacy Break-in, Theft of Controlled Medicines
Convicts found guilty of theft and possession of narcotics after pharmacy burglary in Jumeirah Village. The Dubai Criminal Court

The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced two Gulf nationals to six months in prison and fined them Dh5,400 each for breaking into a pharmacy and stealing prescription-only medicines, Al Khaleej daily reported.
The case began when a pharmacy employee in Jumeirah Village arrived for work to find the lock broken, shelves ransacked, and the store in disarray. She informed her manager, who contacted the police.
Investigators reviewed surveillance footage showing the two men forcing the door open after midnight, taking advantage of the empty street. An inventory confirmed the stolen items were restricted drugs not available without medical authorisation.
Police later arrested one suspect, who admitted to using narcotics and mind-altering substances, including the stolen medicines. He said his accomplice had planned the burglary. The second suspect, however, denied involvement when arrested.
The court convicted both men of theft and possession of banned substances, handing down prison sentences along with financial penalties.
