Staff WriterOct 31, 2025, 1:43 PMThe Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court has upheld a ruling ordering a man to repay two individuals Dhs1.4 million after failing to fulfil a business agreement.
Court records show that the two individuals had transferred the amount to the defendant for the purchase and shipment of plastic materials. However, the defendant neither honoured the agreement nor returned the money.
The plaintiffs sought repayment of the full amount along with 5 per cent interest from the date of filing the case until full settlement. The defendant had later agreed to repay the sum in instalments of Dh200,000 every 60 days but failed to comply.
As the defendant did not dispute the authenticity of the repayment agreement, the court rejected his appeal and upheld the original judgment.
