DJI Honours Trainers Behind Landmark Judicial Studies Programme
Honour celebrates the educators behind the inaugural accredited judicial training programme that is shaping the next generation of Emirati judicial professionals.
The Dubai Judicial Institute (DJI) has honoured 34 distinguished trainers who played a key role in delivering the inaugural cohort of the accredited Judicial and Legal Studies Program for Judicial Trainees, during a ceremony held under the theme “Pioneers of Training Excellence: A Lasting Impact.”
The event was attended by H.E. Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed, Acting President of Dubai Courts for Judicial Affairs, and H.E. Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi, Director General of the Dubai Judicial Institute. The ceremony acknowledged the trainers’ vital contribution to knowledge transfer, national capacity building and the development of future judicial professionals.
The programme’s first cohort included 36 trainees across two specialised tracks — General Law and Personal Status and Inheritance Law.
Strengthening Judicial Capacity
In his address, H.E. Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed said the recognition reflects the UAE’s continued commitment to investing in human capital as a cornerstone of judicial advancement.
He praised the efforts of DJI’s administrative and training teams in preparing judicial trainees, noting that the programme aims to equip participants with the competencies required for a modern judicial system that keeps pace with legislative developments, enhances judicial performance and reinforces Dubai’s standing as a global centre for justice.
Advancing Excellence in Judicial Training
H.E. Judge Dr. Ebtessam Ali Al Badwawi highlighted the central role played by trainers in shaping a sustainable and forward-looking judicial training model.
She said their expertise and dedication were instrumental in delivering a world-class learning experience, transforming the programme into an interactive platform that effectively integrates academic theory with practical judicial application.
Dr. Al Badwawi also expressed appreciation for the continued support of Dubai Courts and partner entities, as well as the trainees’ strong commitment to professional development and excellence.
Innovation at the Core of Learning
The honoured trainers were recognised for adopting innovative training approaches and advanced digital tools, particularly through the Dubai Judicial Training Platform, which offers an interactive, data-driven learning environment.
Their contributions included the development of standardised assessments, specialised training materials and methodologies aimed at strengthening judicial reasoning and analytical skills.
The Judicial and Legal Studies Program for Judicial Trainees is among the most comprehensive accredited initiatives within the UAE’s judicial sector. Designed to prepare and qualify Emirati judicial professionals, the programme aligns with Dubai’s broader vision of building a justice system founded on excellence, sustainability and innovation.
By combining structured academic instruction with practical judicial training, the initiative represents a significant step towards strengthening human capital within Dubai’s judiciary and ensuring long-term leadership in judicial excellence.
