Dubai Police have introduced an advanced AI-powered radar system to monitor and enforce traffic violations, aiming to enhance road safety and reduce accidents across the emirate.

During a press conference at the Dubai Police Headquarters, officials outlined various infractions detected by the AI-driven radars, including speeding, running red lights, lane violations, and distracted driving. The system also imposes fines, vehicle impoundment periods, and black points based on the severity of violations.

Exceeding speed limits remains a major offense, with fines reaching up to Dh3,000, a 60-day vehicle impoundment, and 23 black points for exceeding the speed limit by over 80km/h. Running a red light incurs a Dh1,000 fine, a 30-day impoundment, and 12 black points. Other notable violations include driving against traffic (Dh600 fine and 7-day impoundment), failing to wear a seat belt (Dh400 fine and 4 black points), and using a phone while driving (Dh800 fine and 4 black points).

Dubai Police also emphasized penalties for noise pollution, pedestrian safety violations, and unauthorized vehicle movements. Heavy vehicle drivers face stricter fines, with Dh1,500 penalties for lane violations and Dh1,000 fines for entering restricted areas.

The AI-driven system ensures comprehensive traffic monitoring and stricter enforcement to improve compliance and safety on Dubai’s roads.
