Dubai Public Prosecution has referred a gang of five suspects to court in connection with a Dh3 million robbery at a company office in Deira, after police recovered Dh300,000 during the investigation.

According to case records, three of the suspects -- all from Eastern Europe -- have been arrested, while two others fled the country. The recovered Dh300,000 has been seized and deposited with the Public Prosecution as part of the legal proceedings.

Dubai Police were alerted to the incident after receiving a report of a robbery at a trading company located in a commercial tower. Patrol units and investigation teams responded promptly and secured the premises.

Investigators established that the victim, a Turkish national, was alone inside the office at the time of the incident. When he opened the door, he was confronted by the suspects, who gained access to a safe inside the office and fled with a large sum of cash.

Surveillance footage from the building captured the suspects’ movements before and after the robbery and was secured as evidence. Forensic teams also examined the site and completed the required procedures.

Further investigations revealed that the five suspects had coordinated their actions both before and after the crime. Through search, tracking and follow-up operations, police identified those involved and traced part of the stolen money, securing Dh300,000 before it could be disposed of.

The arrested suspects have been charged with robbery and handling criminal proceeds. Authorities said investigations are continuing to apprehend the remaining suspects and complete the legal process.
