Delivery Employees Require Health Certificates In Saudi

The Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission has announced that delivery workers will be required to have a health certificate.

The requirement will affect electronic delivery application workers who are registered with the Commission. They must have the certificate by November 30th.

To obtain the certificate, they must pass a prescribed medical examination. The examination includes a clinical examination such as blood pressure, skin, neurological, and venereal disease, a chest x-ray for Pulmonary Tuberculosis (TB), vision, and hearing impairment.

It also includes laboratory tests such as a hemoglobin A1C test, an HBV-HCV test for Hepatitis B and C, and an HIV test.

The notice mentioned that no requests will be accepted if the delivery personnel do not have the certificate or successfully pass the medical examination. They will be required to have the examination at Health Ministry-approved facilities. Centres that issue certificates inadvertently will be closed.
