Mansour bin Zayed Issues Resolution to Establish Abu Dhabi Labour Prosecution
New body to handle investigations and claims in labour and domestic worker cases across Abu Dhabi.

In his capacity as Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has issued a resolution establishing the Abu Dhabi Labour Prosecution to oversee investigations and claims in cases related to labour and domestic workers.
The resolution is part of the Judicial Department’s efforts to expand specialised prosecutions, recognising their role in ensuring swift and efficient judicial procedures, achieving accurate justice in vital sectors, and tailoring processes to the nature of each field. It also aims to strengthen the emirate’s judiciary system and protect the rights of all parties, in line with the highest standards of transparency and fairness.
Under the resolution, the Labour Prosecution’s jurisdiction covers crimes stipulated in Federal Law No. 33 of 2021 on the regulation of work relations and Federal Law No. 9 of 2022 on domestic workers, within Abu Dhabi’s geographical scope.
The Abu Dhabi Labour Prosecution will be headed by a public prosecution member of at least chief prosecutor rank, supported by an adequate number of prosecution members and specialised staff.
