UAE Shuts Down 12 Unlicensed Domestic Worker Recruitment Offices
MoHRE refers cases to Public Prosecution; 57 licensed agencies record 300 violations in 2025.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has shut down 12 offices involved in the unlicensed recruitment of domestic workers and referred their cases to the Public Prosecution in coordination with the country’s economic development departments.
The ministry also revealed that 57 licensed domestic worker recruitment offices committed a total of 300 violations during 2025.
MoHRE reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards legal and administrative breaches, underscoring the readiness of its field inspection teams and advanced monitoring systems to regulate recruitment agencies and address violations with transparency and firmness, in line with established laws.
The ministry urged the public to deal only with the 136 officially licensed domestic worker recruitment offices nationwide. It also called on residents to report suspected violations through authorised channels or by contacting 80084 or 600590000 to verify the legitimacy of firms advertising such services on social media platforms.
