In a boost to the infrastructure sector in the country, a novel concept of Building Academy has been established in Saudi Arabia, announced the Secretary-General of the Saudi Building Code National Committee. The modalities of establishing the Academy has been initiated and will be fully functional within a year.

Educating and training various relevant target groups on Building Code will be the primary responsibility of the Academy that will include educating and training on safe design, building code awareness, implementation, safety and loss prevention. Training programmes, diploma courses, conferences, workshops and media campaigns will be launched to achieve the objectives of establishing the academy.
