Riyadh move enhance safety professionalism within rapidly growing

Riyadh: In a move to enhance safety and professionalism within the rapidly growing home delivery sector, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has introduced new regulations requiring delivery workers to wear uniforms.

As part of these updated guidelines, home delivery workers are now mandated to wear clean and appropriate clothing that projects a professional appearance while on duty. The uniform requirement is aimed at improving the overall image and safety standards of the delivery industry in the Kingdom.

Additional Regulations for Delivery Services:

Along with the uniform policy, the new regulations include several conditions that companies offering home delivery services must adhere to:

  • Municipal Licenses: All home delivery businesses are required to hold valid municipal licenses.
  • Home Delivery Permits: Separate permits specifically for home delivery services must be obtained and regularly renewed in accordance with the business’s municipal license.

These measures are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to ensure food safety, cleanliness of vehicles, and the overall professionalism of the home delivery sector, which has seen significant growth in recent years.
