
Sharjah Appoints 31 New Members to Judiciary and Public Prosecution
Newly sworn-in judges and prosecutors pledge to uphold justice, protect rights and strengthen the emirate’s judicial system
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of 31 newly appointed members of the Judiciary and Public Prosecution in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The ceremony, held at the Deputy Ruler’s office, saw six judges of the Court of Cassation, 19 senior judges of the Court of Appeal, one Advocate-General and five assistant chief prosecutors take their oaths.
Sheikh Sultan congratulated the newly appointed judges and legal officials, stressing their important role in strengthening Sharjah’s judicial and legal system.
He underscored their responsibility to uphold the rule of law, safeguard public and private rights, and ensure that justice and integrity remain central to the administration of justice. He also highlighted the judiciary’s role in supporting social stability and maintaining confidence in the legal system.
The Deputy Ruler said continued efforts were being made to provide judges and legal officials with the tools and systems needed to carry out their duties efficiently, independently and with integrity. These measures also aim to streamline judicial and legal procedures for all parties involved.
The newly sworn-in judges and prosecutors expressed their gratitude for the confidence placed in them and pledged to carry out their responsibilities with integrity and impartiality. They also affirmed their commitment to protecting the rights of individuals and institutions and applying the law in accordance with the applicable legislation.
The ceremony was attended by Counsellor Dr Mansour Mohamed bin Nassar, Chairman of the Sharjah Government Legal Department and Vice-President of the Judicial Council; Dr Mohamed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department; Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla, President of the Court of Cassation; Counsellor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi, Attorney-General of the Emirate of Sharjah; Dr Salama Rashid Salem Al Ketbi, Head of the Judicial Inspection Department; Dr Saeed Ali Bahbouh Al Naqbi, President of the Courts of Appeal; Dr Omar Obaid Al Ghoul Al Salamy, President of the Sharjah Courts of First Instance; and Sheikh Faisal bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Secretary-General of the Judicial Council.
