Sharjah has launched an integrated digital judicial platform that brings together courts, the Public Prosecution and notary services under a single online system, marking a major step in the emirate’s justice sector modernisation drive.

The Sharjah Judicial Council announced the rollout of the Sharjah Judicial Platform, accessible via www.sjd.ae, as the first phase of a wider project aimed at unifying all judicial services within one digital ecosystem. The initiative seeks to improve efficiency, speed up legal procedures and enhance public access to justice.

Sheikh Faisal bin Ali Al Mualla, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Judicial Council, said the platform reflects the emirate’s “Digital Justice” vision, designed to reduce time and effort for litigants, lawyers and other legal professionals. He noted that users can now complete a wide range of judicial transactions remotely, minimising the need for physical visits while improving transparency and service quality.

In its initial phase, the platform provides digital access to civil, commercial, labour and personal status cases, alongside enforcement and execution procedures. It also enables the management and follow-up of criminal cases through Public Prosecution services, in addition to notary public offerings such as legal declarations, judicial documentation and powers of attorney.

The system further includes institutional documentation services tailored to the requirements of individuals and businesses. According to the council, the launch marks the beginning of a continuously evolving project, with plans to expand services and integrate artificial intelligence to further enhance operational efficiency and user experience in line with international best practices.

The initiative highlights Sharjah’s commitment to digital governance and to building a modern, responsive judicial system capable of meeting the changing needs of society.
