The Law Reporters (“Portal”) is solely a case management portal and provides services including, but not limited to, purposes of promoting user’s (“you” or “your”) legal services, managing the contact information of clients, case notes, appointment scheduling and history, client communications, and billing (“Services”).
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this Portal. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding with the use of our Services on our Portal as they may affect your rights and liabilities under the law.

By visiting our Portal, you engage with us and agree and accept our Terms and Conditions, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/ or available by hyperlink. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the Portal, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content. This Portal is owned and operated by The Law Reporters registered with the Department of Economic Development (DED), Dubai, UAE.

If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the Portal or use any services. If these Terms and Conditions are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly only limited to these Terms and Conditions.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current (website/portal) shall also be subject to the Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms and Conditions by posting updates and/ or changes to our Portal without prior notification to you. You agree to be bound by subsequent revisions and agree to review the Terms and Conditions periodically. 1.1 You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature. A breach or violation of any of the Terms or Conditions will result in an immediate termination of our Services and also amount to legal action.

1.2 By accepting these Terms and Conditions through your use or access of the Portal, you represent that you are-

(a) a person with full legal capacity and ability to form a legally binding contract;

(b) fully able and competent to understand the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in these Terms and Conditions, and to abide by and comply with these Terms and Conditions, and;

(c) eligible and authorized without any special restrictions to contract under applicable laws to avail our Services.


2.1 By registering with the Portal, you can access our Services. You are responsible for using the Portal in a private and secure manner. We will not be liable for any damage or loss caused from-

(i) any unauthorized account access resulting from your actions while using the Portal;

(ii) failure to log out from the Portal;

(iii) accessing the portal through a bugged system or incompetent browser or;

(iv) sharing your Login credentials with the third party.

2.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you are found to be in violation of any of the below-mentioned Terms and Conditions.


3.1 When accessing and using the Portal, you shall abide by the following:

a) You will provide true, complete and accurate information about yourself and your use of the Portal as required by us;

b) You are responsible for the content, article, and information published by you in your respective User Login;

c) You shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of, and restricting access to and use of your information, and accept responsibility for all the activities that occur in your name, unless stated otherwise via email at info@thelawreporters.com ;

d) You will not collect other users’ personal data for any commercial or unlawful purposes;

e) You will cooperate and provide us with any additional information as requested by us with respect to the use of the Portal;

f) You shall be responsible for sharing any of your personal data with other users on the platform and also take full accountability of the manner in which such person/entity processes your data

g) Our portal will not be liable for any consensual correspondence and/or transaction between other users and you apart from the Portal in mutual agreement and;

h) You will not conduct any activity that is deemed inappropriate or is prohibited or which may not be in compliance with the applicable laws.

3.2 You shall not do or permit any other third party to do any of the following:

a) Post or transmit any unlawful, threatening, abusive, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or profane information of any kind, including, without limitation, any transmissions constituting or encouraging conduct that would constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any local, provincial, state, national or international law, including without limitation, export control laws and regulations;

b) Post or transmit any information or software that the sender is aware contains a virus, worm, or other harmful components;

c) Upload, post, publish, transmit, reproduce, or distribute in any way, information, software or other material which is protected by copyright or other proprietary rights, without obtaining the permission of the copyright owner or the registered owner ; and

d) Account sharing, including, without limitation, letting third parties access/use your account and password.


All Intellectual Property Rights including, without limitation, all logos, trademarks, service marks, domain names, database rights, rights in design, rights in know-how, patents and rights in inventions and all other intellectual or industrial property rights in any jurisdiction or any information, content, materials, data or processes contained in or underlying this Portal and/or the service we provide belong to the respective owner and are permitted to use and/or publish only by this Portal by way of consenting to the Terms and Conditions . All rights of such intellectual property rights are hereby reserved and retained by us worldwide. Unauthorized use or replication of such intellectual property anywhere in the world without prior written consent shall amount to infringement.


In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the Portal or its content:

(a) for any unlawful purpose;

(b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts;

(c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances;

(d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others;

(e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;

(j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or

(k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use temporarily or permanently of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.


You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Law Reporter and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including attorney's fees, caused by or arising out of claims based upon your actions or inactions, which may result in any loss or liability to our Portal or any third party including but not limited to breach of any warranties, representations or undertakings or in relation to the non-fulfilment of any of your obligations under this Terms and Conditions or arising out of your violation of any applicable laws, regulations including but not only limited to Intellectual Property Rights.


You acknowledge and agree that our Portal reserves the right at any time to modify, limit or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any such modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

9.1 The Law Reporters does not promise that the Portal or any content, service or feature of the Portal will be errorfree or uninterrupted, that any defects will be corrected, or that your use of the Portal will provide specific results. The Portal and its content are delivered on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. All information provided on the Portal is subject to change without notice. The Law Reporters cannot ensure that any files or other data you download from the Portal will be free of viruses or contamination or destructive features. The Law Reporters disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You agree, understand and confirm that your personal data transmitted over the internet may be susceptible to misuse, hacking, theft and/ or fraud and that we have no control over such matters.

12.5 Neither this Terms and Conditions nor any of the rights or obligations under this Terms and Conditions, may be assigned, transferred or delegated, in whole or in part, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Any such assignment, transfer or delegation without such prior written consent shall be null and void.

12.6 These Terms and Conditions shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Any dispute arising out of the formation, performance, interpretation, nullification, termination or invalidation of this policy or arising therefrom or related thereto in any manner whatsoever, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the provisions set forth under the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) Rules (the “Rules”), by one arbitrator appointed in compliance with the Rules. The seat of arbitration shall be Dubai, and the language shall be English. The DIAC shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions. Each party irrevocably waives any objection, including any objection to the laying of venue or based on the grounds of forum non-conveniens, which it may now or hereafter have to the bringing of any action or proceeding in such jurisdiction in respect of this Terms and Conditions.
