UAE Ministry of Education to Announce Weekend Changes for Schools
Following the announcement by the UAE Government on Tuesday regarding the four-and-a-half work week, the Ministry of Education will take a stand regarding school timings shortly.
As per the new work week schedule, it begins on Monday and ends on Friday afternoon. The weekend will begin from Friday afternoon and end on Sunday, as per the new ruling.
The UAE Government authorities said in a statement that the UAE is the first Nation in the world to bring the four-and-a-half work week while the shortest work week in the world earlier was a five-day one.
The document released by the UAE Government Media Office mentions about the school schedule to adhere to the new weekend scheme. However, the Ministry of Education said that it will prepare a time schedule for schools in the coming days after consulting relevant authorities.
