On Wednesday, UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, highlighted the strategic approach embraced by the UAE to achieve its aspirations for the coming decades and has also set out the national priorities which the UAE aspires to achieve in the next decade.

In the speech, the President also paid homage to the ex-President late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who had left a rich legacy and established a strong state.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's speech comes two months after he was elected the President of the UAE, succeeding his brother Sheikh Khalifa who passed away on May 13, 2022.

The President said,“Empowerment of citizens has been and will remain the nation’s top priority and the cornerstone of our plans that aim to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of our citizens. Ensuring our people have everything they need to live fulfilled, comfortable, and happy lives, remains the basis of our future plans."

 Pressing ahead with the march of progress and prosperity embarked upon by the founding fathers, the President reaffirmed that he would continue to follow the footsteps of the founding fathers.
