UAE to Launch AI-Powered Legislative Intelligence Office to Monitor Impact of New Laws
AI-driven legislative intelligence system to track the impact of new laws

In a groundbreaking move, the UAE Cabinet has announced the establishment of an AI-powered legislative intelligence office aimed at tracking the impact of new laws on the public and economy. The initiative will link legislative maps with big data and artificial intelligence to monitor and propose amendments to existing laws based on real-time information.
The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative marks a pivotal moment in the country’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its legislative system through technology.
AI-Powered Legislative Intelligence System
The newly established office will create a comprehensive legislative map that includes all federal and local legislation. This map will be seamlessly integrated with judicial rulings, executive procedures, and public services, allowing authorities to continuously monitor how new laws affect various sectors of society.
“The system will enable daily monitoring of the impact of new legislation by integrating with big data. It will also provide continuous suggestions for legislative amendments, further improving the law-making process,” said Sheikh Mohammed.
The AI-based system aims to be a quantitative leap in the UAE’s legislative cycle. It will also work in collaboration with global research centres to track and adopt the best policies from around the world that can be applied in the UAE.
UAE’s Vision for Tax Policy and Combating Tax Evasion
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed also reviewed the latest developments in the country’s tax policy. The UAE continues to show a strong commitment to fostering financial sustainability and enhancing its global competitiveness.
With a focus on tax efficiency, the UAE has ranked 5th globally for tax policy efficiency and 2nd globally in its efforts to combat tax evasion, according to the annual report by the IMD Institute in Switzerland. This success underscores the UAE's efforts to streamline its tax system while maintaining a robust, transparent financial framework.
Global Collaboration for Better Policy Implementation
The new office will not only focus on internal legislative changes but will also be linked to global research centres. This network will help the UAE adopt best practices and global policies that have been proven to work in other regions, ensuring that the country remains at the forefront of legislative innovation.
