Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Clocks 10,000 Notary Transactions in 15 months
Abu Dhabi Judicial Department completes nearly 10,000 English notary transactions, reflecting rising global demand.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), through its English Notary Services Bureau, has completed nearly 10,000 English-language notary transactions over a span of 15 months, marking a significant milestone in the emirate’s legal services landscape.
Official figures show that the Bureau processed 8,160 transactions in 2025 alone, followed by a further 1,757 transactions in the first quarter of 2026, reflecting sustained growth and increasing demand from both local and international beneficiaries across 123 nationalities.
Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Under-Secretary of ADJD, attributed the momentum to the forward-looking vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aimed at building an advanced justice system aligned with global economic shifts.
He noted that the department’s strategy focuses on delivering innovative, business-friendly services that combine efficiency with seamless procedures, helping strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a competitive global investment hub.
Al Abri added that the growing reliance on English notary services highlights the success of ADJD’s development initiatives, which prioritise accuracy, transparency and alignment with international standards.
He further underscored the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance its digital infrastructure, enabling fully remote notarisation services that improve accessibility, ensure a smooth user experience and safeguard legal rights.
The English Notary Services Bureau has emerged as a key component of Abu Dhabi’s modern legal framework, facilitating a wide range of transactions including powers of attorney, company incorporation documents, declarations and board resolutions. By leveraging smart digital platforms, the Bureau streamlines procedures, reduces processing time and reinforces investor confidence worldwide.
