25 ADJD Training Initiatives Enhance Legal Readiness; 411 Beneficiaries Recorded

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has implemented 25 specialised training programmes during the first half of 2025, benefiting 411 participants across 1,893 training hours. These initiatives form part of ADJD’s core qualification strategy to enhance the competencies of lawyers, law firm representatives, mediators, and judicial enforcement officers from various government bodies.

The programmes covered multiple areas, including initial qualification and renewal of judicial enforcement status for government staff, professional training for lawyers and legal representatives registering with the Roll of Lawyers, and certification courses for mediators in civil and commercial disputes. Each course was tailored to match the specific duties of participants, aimed at strengthening practical expertise and ensuring high standards of legal oversight.

His Excellency Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, stated that the training aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of ADJD. He stressed that these initiatives reflect a strategic commitment to developing qualified national legal professionals through structured methodologies based on global best practices, ultimately enhancing performance and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s competitiveness.

He added that the Judicial Department continuously updates its training content to keep pace with rapid advancements in technology and legal systems. New modules integrate emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation to ensure participants acquire the technical, administrative, and specialist skills needed to excel in a modern legal environment.

Key programmes delivered included:

  • The Core Qualification Programme for granting and renewing judicial enforcement status
  • Legal training for lawyers registering to practise before ADJD’s Public Prosecution and Courts
  • Certification programmes for private mediators in civil and commercial disputes
  • Core training for law firm legal representatives

Participants came from a wide range of government entities across Abu Dhabi, as well as law firms and mediation practices, reflecting the department’s ongoing efforts to build a highly skilled legal ecosystem.
