Abu Dhabi Swears in 75 Judicial Officers to Strengthen Regulatory Enforcement

Seventy-five employees from various government entities in Abu Dhabi have been sworn in before His Excellency Counsellor Ali Mohamed Al Blooshi, Attorney General of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, to begin their duties as judicial officers.

The newly appointed officers will carry out judicial enforcement responsibilities, including inspection, monitoring and the detection of crimes and violations within their areas of jurisdiction and related to their official functions, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Addressing the swearing-in ceremony, Al Blooshi called on the officers to uphold the highest standards of transparency, integrity and impartiality while performing their duties. He emphasised the importance of strict compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

The Attorney General highlighted that the role of a judicial officer goes beyond identifying violations, noting that they also contribute to spreading legal awareness and encouraging individuals and establishments to comply with applicable legislation.

The appointment is part of the Public Prosecution’s strategic partnership with government entities to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s inspection and regulatory framework. The initiative also aims to improve institutional efficiency by developing and empowering national professionals to carry out oversight responsibilities in line with international best practices.

The Public Prosecution said the move would support the effective enforcement of laws, protect rights and safeguard the public interest.

The newly sworn-in judicial officers include employees from the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority and TAQA.
