Staff WriterOct 31, 2025, 12:58 PMThe Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Courts, in collaboration with Wilberforce Chambers, have launched The ADGM Book, an innovative online publication designed to serve as a comprehensive guide for legal practitioners handling cases before the Court or seeking to familiarise themselves with its practice and procedure.
Bringing together the ADGM Courts Procedure Rules 2016 and the Court’s Practice Directions into one accessible platform, the publication was authored by Daniel Lewis and Daniel Jukes, both barristers at Wilberforce Chambers.
To mark the launch, ADGM Courts and Wilberforce Chambers hosted a special event at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island, attended by members of the legal community. The event featured addresses by Lord Hope of Craighead KT, Chief Justice of ADGM Courts; Linda Fitz-Alan, Registrar and Chief Executive of ADGM Courts; and the authoring barristers.
In his foreword, Lord Hope highlighted the significance of consolidating the Court’s procedural materials:
“Until now, the ADGM Courts Procedure Rules 2016 and the ADGM Practice Directions have existed separately. Bringing them together in a single volume makes access far easier. That is the service this book seeks to provide.”
He added that the digital format would allow for instant updates, eliminating the delays and costs associated with traditional print editions.
Commenting on the initiative, Linda Fitz-Alan said: “This book is a testament to ADGM and the Courts’ commitment to accessibility, clarity, and innovation in the rule of law. It embodies our belief that modern justice must be transparent, inclusive, and digitally enabled.”
Nicholas Luckman, Practice Director at Wilberforce Chambers, added: “Wilberforce is proud to collaborate with ADGM Courts on this important publication. We hope practitioners will find it both valuable and insightful. Our chambers has long-standing experience in the Middle East, particularly the UAE, and this project reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the legal profession in Abu Dhabi and the wider region.”
The ADGM Book underscores ADGM’s position as a forward-looking, globally respected hub for dispute resolution, reinforcing its mission to deliver world-class judicial services in line with Abu Dhabi’s economic vision.
