ADJD and Awqaf Bolster Cooperation to Protect Minors’ Rights, Endowment Assets
Partnership aims to enhance legal coordination, transparency, and sustainable asset management in line with Abu Dhabi’s judicial vision.
The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Management Authority (Awqaf Abu Dhabi) have held discussions to reinforce institutional cooperation and develop joint mechanisms that promote integration across key sectors. The initiative supports the Abu Dhabi Government’s vision of building a sustainable and comprehensive judicial and societal framework.
The meeting was attended by H.E. Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, and H.E. Fahad Abdulqader Al Qassim, Director General of Awqaf Abu Dhabi, along with Counselor Abdulhafez Zidan, President of the Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Court, and several senior officials and advisors from both entities.
Talks centred on shared areas of responsibility, particularly the management of minors’ funds, and the development of legal and procedural frameworks to ensure the protection of rights. The discussions underscored the importance of achieving the highest levels of transparency and efficiency in asset management and development, in line with relevant legal provisions.
The meeting also reviewed the vital role of Awqaf Abu Dhabi under its founding law, noting its overlapping responsibilities with ADJD in several legal domains. Both parties explored coordination mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency, unify procedures, and strengthen community service, especially for minors and awqaf beneficiaries.
Reaffirming their shared commitment to the directives of the UAE leadership, the two institutions pledged to deepen partnerships, improve communication channels, and exchange expertise among specialised teams. The cooperation seeks to streamline procedures, advance service integration, and strengthen the effectiveness of the judicial and administrative systems -- contributing to sustainable development within an innovative and collaborative institutional framework.
