Bahrain to Issue All Judicial Notices to firms via Sijilat Database from August 17
Move aims to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in court communications while encouraging businesses to keep commercial records up to date.

The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments has announced that, starting Sunday, August 17, 2025, judicial notices to companies and institutions in Bahrain will be issued through the Sijilat commercial licensing database. This move, implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, marks a significant step in Bahrain’s broader push towards digital transformation in judicial procedures.
By utilising the comprehensive and up-to-date commercial registry provided by Sijilat, the initiative aims to improve the accuracy and timeliness of court notifications while supporting environmentally sustainable practices. The integration of Sijilat into the judicial notification system is expected to strengthen coordination between government ministries, enhance the quality of judicial communication, and streamline case management.
This development reflects Bahrain’s commitment to its national digital transformation and sustainability strategies. It also underscores the importance of proactive data management by the private sector, as accurate and regularly updated business records in the Sijilat system will be essential for ensuring proper delivery of court-related communications.
The initiative is designed to make communication between judicial authorities and commercial entities more efficient, reduce reliance on paper-based processes, and support the country's e-government goals. It also aims to foster greater trust in the judicial system by enhancing accessibility and service delivery.
Commercial entities are now advised to verify and regularly update their registry information in the Sijilat system. Businesses should also ensure that internal mechanisms are in place to monitor official communications and may seek legal guidance to remain compliant with the new notification procedures.
