The Abu Dhabi Labour Court of First Instance has ordered a company to pay Dh289,265 to a former employee in unpaid wages and end-of-service benefits after a service period of 22 years. The ruling, which includes court fees and related expenses, is immediately enforceable without bail.

The dispute began when the employee lodged a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation over unpaid dues. After mediation efforts failed, the case was referred to court. The claimant sought Dh150,400 in unpaid wages, Dh138,865 in gratuity, and Dh24,000 in housing allowance.

Court records showed that the employee resigned due to non-payment of wages. Although his total monthly salary was Dh8,400, the company failed to provide evidence of full payment. The court granted him Dh150,400 in back wages and Dh138,865 in end-of-service benefits, rejecting his claim for housing allowance.

The total award of Dh289,265 was made in favour of the employee, and the company was ordered to cover all court fees and expenses.
