The Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a guardian to pay Dhs30,000 in compensation to a woman whose son was assaulted and bullied by the defendant’s children, who also filmed the incident.

According to court records, the attack took place both at school and at the victim’s home. The video recording of the assault caused the boy significant psychological distress, including fear, mood swings, and emotional instability.

The victim’s guardian filed a lawsuit seeking Dh500,000 in compensation for the material, psychological, and moral harm caused by the actions of the defendant’s children, who were later convicted in a criminal case.

The court found that the children’s actions constituted a proven fault resulting in physical and emotional harm to the victim. Medical evidence confirmed that the boy was unable to carry out his daily activities for nearly 20 days and endured psychological pain as a result of the assault, which took place in public view.

After reviewing the circumstances of the case, the court exercised its discretionary power to award Dh30,000 in compensation, along with legal fees and expenses.
