Dubai drivers will soon experience significant changes in parking fees, with a new dynamic pricing system set to roll out this April. Whether commuting to work or attending events, motorists should prepare for variable rates that fluctuate based on demand and peak hours.

Key Parking Fee Changes

Starting in early April, Parkin has announced new time-based tariffs for public parking zones:

  • Premium parking spots will be charged at Dh6 per hour during peak periods.
  • Peak hours: 8 AM – 10 AM and 4 PM – 8 PM will see higher parking fees.
  • Full-day parking charges will vary by zone:
    • Dh40 in Zone B
    • Dh30 in Zone D

Higher Fees in High-Demand Areas

In addition to regular public zones, parking around major events and conferences will come at a premium. Drivers parking in event hotspots should expect rates of Dh25 per hour.

Impact on Drivers

Dubai’s parking system is shifting towards a more flexible and time-sensitive model, meaning drivers will need to be mindful of peak hours to avoid higher costs.

Additionally, Salik, Parkin’s sister company, has introduced dynamic toll gate fees, aligning toll rates with traffic demand to regulate congestion.

With these changes, drivers in Dubai should plan their parking strategically to manage costs and avoid peak-hour surges starting this April.
