Oman has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr holidays for both the public and private sectors, starting from March 29, 2025, based on Royal Orders. The final duration of the holiday will depend on the sighting of the Shawwal moon, which marks the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid celebrations.

If Eid falls on Sunday, March 30, the holiday will conclude on Tuesday, April 1, with work resuming on Wednesday, April 2. However, if Eid falls on Monday, March 31, the holiday will extend through Thursday, April 3, with work resuming on Sunday, April 6.

The Ministry of Labour has stated that some businesses may continue operations during the holiday period if needed, provided that employees are compensated in accordance with labour regulations.

This announcement enables citizens and residents to prepare for their Eid festivities while awaiting the official moon sighting confirmation. Authorities continue to advise the public to rely on verified sources for the confirmed start of Eid Al Fitr.
