Qatar’s new digital legal platforms will strengthen the country’s legal framework, improve access to legal services and support investment by enhancing transparency and legal certainty, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has said.

Speaking on the sidelines of the recent launch of the new Official Gazette website and the Al Meezan legal portal, the ministry’s Undersecretary, HE Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, described the initiative as a strategic step towards building an integrated national system for legal knowledge.

The project supports Qatar’s Third National Development Plan and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, while advancing the country’s wider digital transformation agenda.

Al Suwaidi said the initiative, implemented under the ministry’s 2025–2030 strategic plan, went beyond digital publishing. The two platforms are intended to form an integrated and accessible legal information system, bringing together legislation, judicial rulings, legal opinions and agreements.

The new Official Gazette website will make legislative texts more accessible, while Al Meezan will provide comprehensive legal information to help researchers, legal professionals and members of the public understand legislation, its context and practical application.

According to Al Suwaidi, the platforms are expected to improve the efficiency of Qatar’s legislative and regulatory environment, strengthen transparency and legal certainty, and facilitate the conduct of business.

These improvements could also reinforce investor confidence and enhance Qatar’s appeal as a destination for high-quality investment.

Al Suwaidi said the ministry hoped the initiative would integrate legal knowledge more closely into the country’s broader digital ecosystem and establish a national model for cooperation among legal and judicial institutions.

The ultimate objective, he added, is to deliver legal services that are more accessible, transparent and efficient.
