Saudi Arabia Cracks Down on Online Content Threatening National Unity
Legal action launched against individuals accused of spreading divisive messages, with authorities warning of strict enforcement.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has initiated legal action against individuals accused of circulating social media content considered harmful to national unity and public security.
In a statement, the ministry said it had identified and monitored online posts dealing with sensitive societal issues, including material that could incite tribal divisions and disrupt social cohesion.
Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings have been set in motion against those responsible, in line with relevant laws and regulations.
Reaffirming its stance, the ministry said it will continue to act decisively against any attempts to exploit sensitive topics or fuel divisions within society, underscoring its commitment to preserving public order and unity.
