
Sharjah Ruler Issues Amendments to Police and Military Ranks Laws
Revisions Update Ranks in Sharjah's Police, Security, and Military Forces

His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has made significant revisions to laws governing the military and police ranks in the emirate. These amendments aim to enhance career progression and improve the structure within Sharjah's police, security, and regulatory bodies.
Key Amendments to Police and Military Ranks Laws:
The newly issued Law No. (5) of 2025 amends the previous Law No. (1) of 2025, which reorganized the police and security forces in Sharjah. Additionally, Law No. (6) of 2025 modifies Law No. (2) of 2021, which pertains to human resources for military personnel in Sharjah’s regulatory bodies.
These revisions primarily focus on updating military ranks by eliminating two non-commissioned officer ranks. This change facilitates smoother career advancement, allowing personnel to more easily progress into officer positions. The amendments also acknowledge the contributions of these individuals, providing greater motivation for those serving within Sharjah's police, security forces, and regulatory bodies.
