Strict Penalties for Misuse of Dubai Government Logos
New Law Prohibits Unauthorized Use

A new law issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, regulates the use of official emblems and logos of the Emirate and Government of Dubai. The law aims to preserve their integrity and status.
Prohibited Uses and Penalties
The law strictly prohibits using Dubai’s official logos for commercial purposes, including advertising or product promotion. Any misuse, distortion, or actions that devalue the logos, as well as usage in activities that conflict with Dubai’s values or public order, are also banned. Violators face penalties of up to five years in prison and fines ranging from Dh100,000 to Dh500,000.
Proper Usage Guidelines
The Dubai Emirate logo is reserved for entities with special authorization, while the Dubai Government logo is designated for use on government buildings, events, official documents, and applications. The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai will provide official guidelines for proper usage.
Reporting Violations
Individuals who become aware of any unauthorized use of the logos are legally required to report such violations to the relevant authorities.
