Tanfeeth+: UAE’s New Digital Platform Transforming Judgment Enforcement
New system slashes enforcement times from months to seconds, boosting transparency, efficiency and investor confidence in Dubai’s judiciary.

In a sweeping move to accelerate the enforcement of civil judgments, Dubai Courts has unveiled Tanfeeth+ (sometimes spelled Tanfizzy Plus in local media), a cutting-edge digital platform that replaces paper-based processes with a fully automated enforcement ecosystem.
Launched on May 31, 2024, the system is designed to shrink enforcement timelines from weeks or even months to mere seconds, marking a new milestone in the UAE’s judicial digital transformation.
Tanfeeth+ is more than just a software upgrade. It is a comprehensive digital programme that integrates Dubai Courts with banks, government agencies and registries, offering enforcement judges real-time access to data on assets and enabling them to initiate seizures, impose travel bans or transfer funds with unprecedented efficiency. The platform underscores the UAE’s commitment to building a fast, transparent and globally competitive justice system that instils confidence among citizens, residents and investors alike.
What is Tanfeeth+?
Tanfeeth+ is the first-of-its-kind digital enforcement programme in the region. The platform introduces digital enforcement writs or seals, which allow enforcement proceedings to begin electronically without requiring manual filings. It is also equipped with a consolidated asset disclosure system, empowering judges to query multiple registries at once -- from bank accounts and real estate records to vehicle ownership databases maintained by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
Once assets are located, the system can initiate seizures automatically, send sale notifications for attached property, lift restrictions upon payment, and even transfer recovered amounts directly into petitioners’ accounts. The programme is also linked with the Ministry of Interior, allowing swift implementation of travel bans or liberty restrictions where necessary.
Objectives of the system
According to Dubai Courts, the launch of Tanfeeth+ serves five key objectives:
-
1. Speed — replacing slow, paper-driven enforcement with instant, automated processes.
-
2. Efficiency — freeing up judges and enforcement officers to focus on oversight rather than administrative work.
-
3. Transparency — ensuring traceable, auditable enforcement steps that build public confidence.
-
4. Inter-agency cooperation — routing requests seamlessly between courts, banks and government agencies.
-
5. Socio-economic stability — reducing uncertainty for creditors and debtors, which in turn supports commercial activity.
“Tanfeeth+ is a game-changer for enforcement in the UAE -- it converts what used to be a paper, person-dependent process into a fast, reliable digital flow that benefits creditors, debtors and the courts alike,” said Sunil Ambalavelil, Chairman of Kaden Borris, in remarks on the system’s impact.
How it Changes the Enforcement Landscape
Before Tanfeeth+, enforcing a civil judgment often required multiple submissions, lengthy communications with agencies, and in-person follow-ups -- a process that could drag on for months. With the new system, execution judges can access integrated registries instantly, generate digital orders, and track enforcement in real time.
“Faster, automated enforcement reduces counterparty risk and strengthens commercial contracts. For investors and lenders considering the UAE, systems like Tanfeeth+ materially increase legal certainty,” Ambalavelil added.
The changes are particularly significant for businesses, banks and international investors who rely on timely and predictable enforcement to safeguard contracts and credit agreements. By ensuring quicker recovery of funds, the UAE strengthens its reputation as a safe and reliable destination for commerce.
Wider Implications and Challenges
While Tanfeeth+ promises dramatic improvements, its rollout also raises important considerations. Data privacy and security are critical, given the sensitive financial and personal records involved. Robust access controls, audit trails and judicial oversight are essential to prevent misuse.
Ambalavelil acknowledged these challenges, stressing the need for safeguards alongside speed:
“Digital speed should go hand in hand with robust safeguards -- strong access controls, transparent audit trails and clear judicial oversight are essential to maintain public trust as enforcement becomes more automated.”
Another challenge lies in ensuring interoperability across jurisdictions. Although Tanfeeth+ is currently anchored in Dubai, legal experts expect its scope to expand to federal entities and other emirates. Such expansion will require harmonisation of technical systems and procedures across different authorities.
Significance Beyond Dubai
The significance of Tanfeeth+ extends well beyond Dubai Courts. As part of the UAE’s broader judicial reforms, which include the use of Artificial Intelligence in Abu Dhabi Criminal Courts and updates to civil and personal status laws, the new enforcement platform reflects the country’s ambition to modernise its entire legal ecosystem.
For global investors, the platform is a strong signal that the UAE is serious about aligning its judiciary with international standards. Efficient enforcement is a cornerstone of commercial law, and Tanfeeth+ sets a regional benchmark for how digital transformation can enhance both speed and fairness.
Legal practitioners also view the initiative as a model for other Gulf jurisdictions, many of which face similar challenges with enforcement backlogs. By leveraging technology, the UAE is positioning itself as a leader in judicial innovation.
Looking Ahead
The Dubai Courts have indicated that Tanfeeth+ will continue to evolve, with further automation and integration planned in the coming years. Expansions are likely to include family court orders and administrative fines, as well as deeper coordination with federal systems.
As the system matures, its impact will be measured not just in time saved but in the degree of trust it builds among litigants and the wider public. In a region where contract enforcement has often been viewed as a bottleneck, Tanfeeth+ offers a vision of justice that is swift, transparent and investor-friendly.
