Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred two supervisory officials to the Public Prosecution on charges of submitting false financial disclosure statements.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Nazaha reaffirmed its commitment to scrutinising disclosures, collecting evidence, and pursuing investigations based on credible and substantiated reports. The authority underscored that individuals subject to financial disclosure requirements must comply with the law by ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely submission of statements.

Nazaha stressed that financial disclosure is not only a legal obligation but also an ethical duty aimed at safeguarding public funds, strengthening integrity, and enhancing public trust in state institutions.

The authority also highlighted the vital role of whistleblowers in exposing corruption cases, vowing to guarantee full legal protection and confidentiality to those who come forward with information, in line with the law and executive regulations.
