Dubai Police have arrested a group of young men following a violent altercation involving bladed weapons, with authorities confirming that full legal proceedings have been initiated against all those involved.

In a statement, Dubai Police said an additional individual was also taken into custody for filming the incident and circulating the footage online. All suspects have since been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action, underscoring that the case is now proceeding through the formal criminal justice process.

Authorities reiterated that such acts are treated with zero tolerance under UAE law, particularly offences involving violence, public disorder and the use of weapons. Legal measures have been completed at the investigative stage, with the case now in the hands of the judicial authorities for prosecution.

Dubai Police also highlighted that recording and sharing footage of criminal incidents is not a neutral act when it contributes to the spread of unlawful content. They warned that such behaviour may attract legal consequences, in addition to penalties linked to privacy violations and the dissemination of sensitive material.

Reaffirming their commitment to public safety and rule of law, the police urged residents to report any suspicious or antisocial behaviour through official channels, including the Dubai Police smart app, the “Police Eye” service, or by calling 999.

The “Police Eye” platform allows confidential reporting of crimes and disturbances, enabling users to submit photos, videos and location details directly to authorities. It covers a range of violations, including public brawls, disorderly conduct, and suspected drug- or alcohol-related offences.

Authorities stressed that the correct legal pathway is to report incidents directly to the police, and not to film, publish or circulate such material on social media, as doing so may interfere with investigations and attract legal liability.
