Operating under the Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, the Centre is a cornerstone of Dubai’s strategy to position itself as the most resilient city globally in managing risks and unforeseen events.
The Centre has been tasked with several key responsibilities to support Dubai’s crisis management objectives:
Coordinating and directing efforts to address crises and emergencies with optimal efficiency.
Developing a resilience plan and policies aligned with the Supreme Committee’s objectives.
Measuring performance and progress indicators to ensure effective implementation of resilience strategies.
Managing the central operations platform and maintaining digital connectivity with stakeholders across the emirate.
The decree requires all government and private sector entities in Dubai to cooperate fully with the Centre to ensure seamless coordination in crisis management. This collaboration will be critical in achieving Dubai’s vision of becoming a global benchmark for resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges.
This initiative is part of a broader vision spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to proactively safeguard residents and businesses from risks and emergencies. With this decree, Dubai continues its proactive approach to enhancing safety and preparedness, reinforcing its position as a global leader in crisis management and resilience planning.
