Sharjah Judicial Custodian Accused of Misappropriating Seized Company Assets
Court hears admission of unlawful disposal of inventoried items; hearing adjourned for defence submission.
The Sharjah Misdemeanour Court has heard a case involving an Asian man appointed, by court order, as a judicial custodian of a company’s headquarters, who is accused of misappropriating assets placed under his custody.
According to case records, the accused was entrusted with safeguarding the company’s contents following their seizure and documentation through official inventory procedures. However, investigations revealed that he had unlawfully disposed of some of these items, in breach of both legal provisions and his duties as a judicial custodian.
When confronted with the charges, the accused admitted before the court that he had committed the act, without offering any legal justification for his conduct.
The court has adjourned the matter to a later date to allow the defendant to present his defence, ahead of a ruling in accordance with due legal procedures.
